Origin of The Mastercooks of Belgium
The refusal to accept Pierre Romeyer as a member of the French Association of Master Chefs laid the foundation for the Belgian association in 1980. Together with colleagues Pierre Wynants and Jacques Deluc, he proposed the creation of a professional association for Belgian chefs. Claude Dupont, Robert Van Duüren and Pierrot Fonteyne joined in. And with that, the 'Mastercooks' were born.
