SPECULAASS BAKERY 

Speculaasbakkerij Vanvuchelen is a young dynamic company led by Erika Vanvuchelen. Its main activity is the production of artisanal speculaas, with the specialty being the "Grazense speculaas".

Erika is proud to say that these are handmade and that her products have carried the 'Recognised Craft' label since 2012; an official legal label awarded by the FPS Economy to craft businesses. View all recognitions.

SPECUSTOMIZE

As the first artisanal speculaas bakery in Belgium, Erika uses the 3D printing technique. She prints the speculaas mold herself in-house and does this with 100% food-safe material that consists of 70% recycled PET. Your name or logo on a speculaas cookie, it is possible from 100 pieces. PRODUCTS

  • Grazen speculaas

The one and only Grazen speculaas is Erika's showpiece. It is a thick, soft, creamy speculaas. Typical of this biscuit that is kneaded, shaped, baked and packaged in Grazen, is the eccentric, idiosyncratic flavour palette. There is also a variation with almonds and a variation with chocolate.

  • Betserse speculaas

The Betserse speculaas, referring to the "Gentlemen of Bets", is a very very fine, sublime biscuit with a distinct flavour. It is a typical pleasure biscuit in the shape of Ladies and Gentlemen for with coffee.

  • Rummen speculaas

The Rummen speculaas, referring to the former nickname "The farmers of Rummen", is a sturdy, thick, nutritious speculaas without frills with pure whole wheat flour and walnuts. Real power food. Ideal as a cookie to start the day with or to take with your sandwiches to work. Or of course if you come straight from the field.

  • Typical and seasonal speculaas cookies

Erika also pays attention to those who have to or want to eat sugar-free and lactose-free and developed a speculaas cookie without sugar and lactose. The cookie is flavored with extra spices, without maltitol but with Zusto, a Belgian sugar substitute.

The 'spelt speculoos' is a crispy crumbly speculaas with a spicy character. The 'Grazense Hearts' are classic crispy Belgian speculaas cookies in the shape of a heart and 'Little mills'crispy typical Belgian speculaas biscuits recognized by FLAME  as a Recognized Regional Product. 'Bears' are pale, crispy, sweet speculaas cookies in the shape of a bear.

And then there are many seasonal speculaas cookies such as the 'Apple Speculaas'; a delicious tender speculaas with fresh Jonagold apples from the region. Or the 'Santa Claus' with Santa Claus, ''Speculaas dolls' in 'Speculaas stars'. Large tender 'Easter bunnies' and small 'Easter figures' at Easter. 'Mother's Day Hearts' on Mother's Day. 'Summer flowers' and with Halloween two-colored 'Halloween figures' in Grazen speculaas and Grazen white.
